Krishnagiri: Heavy rain lashed various parts of Krishnagiri district for the second consecutive day on Tuesday with Krishnagiri town recording a rainfall of 50 mm. The average rainfall recorded in other areas in the last 24 hours ending 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday is as follows: Uthangarai 26.2 mm, Nedungal 20.4 mm, Rayakottai 20 mm, Denkanikottai 5 mm, Anchetti 5 mm.
The average rainfall recorded in Dharmapuri district is as follows: Pappireddipatti 12 mm, Harur 11 mm, Dharmapuri 9 mm, Palacode 7.60 mm, Pennagaram 4.20 mm, Collectorate 2 mm. There was no rain at Panchapalli dam, the main source of drinking water supply to Dharmapuri town.
