Facilities to be upgraded at Beach hospital

KOZHIKODE: The Assembly Estimate Committee will recommend to the government to strengthen the functioning and upgrade facilities at the General Hospital (Beach) here.

The committee made a first-hand appraisal of the functioning of the hospital on Tuesday and noted the drawbacks.

These aspects would be brought to the notice of the government and the Directorate of Health Services.

The committee headed by Anathalavattam Anandan is on an appraisal visit to study the functioning of district and taluk hospitals. A. Pradeep Kumar, MLA, and Mayor M. Bhaskaran accompanied the committee members.

Earlier, at a sitting held at the Collectorate conference hall, the committee was apprised of the functioning of district and taluk hospitals by the District Medical Officers.
