Kalyan Silks to open in Palakkad today

PALAKKAD: Chairman and Managing Director of Kalyan Silks T. S. Pattabhiraman has said that the company expected a turnover of Rs. 300-crore at the end of the current financial year.
Addressing a press conference here in connection with the opening of Kalyan Silks’ sixth showroom in the State on October 24, Mr. Pattabhiraman said that the company employs 3,000 workers and another 4,000 weavers. It also indirectly provided employment to another 8,000 workers, he said. Mr. Pattabhiraman said that the company would help local weavers to come out with their best products, provide them assistance to develop their skills and increase production. Actor Mohanlal will inaugurate the showroom.
