Coromandel Fertilisers’ H1 profit up 26 p.c.

CHENNAI: Coromandel Fertilisers has reported a total income of Rs. 1,166.84 crore in the half year ended September 30, 2007 against Rs. 1,120.38 crore in the corresponding period last year. The net profit has risen by 25.6 per cent to Rs. 79.24 crore from Rs. 63.07 crore. The improvement in profitability has been attributed to various initiatives taken in manufacture, distribution and sales fronts resulting in higher contributions and increase in subsidy compensation for freight cost. — Corporate Reporter
