Ansaleem scores thrice

NEW DELHI: Ansaleem Hemrom scored thrice as Army Boys Sports Company, Madras Engineering Group and Centre (Bangalore) beat Sadul Sports School (Bikaner) 9-0 in the 25th Nehru sub-junior hockey tournament here on Tuesday.

Jagannath Dodrai (2), David Dung Dung (2), Noel Dodray and K.P. Subbaiah scored the other goals for the Bangalore team that entered the super league, with GRM Senior Secondary.

The results: GRM SSS 10 (Abhishek-3, Naveen-2, Manish, Pradeep, Jatin, Sumit, Praveen) bt Gautam Public School 0. Malwa Khalsa SSS (Ludhiana) 2 (Jatinder Singh-2) drew with Mahaveer Prashad Lakhan Lal Adarsh Inter College (Faizabad) 2 (Ranjan Katal, Vishwa Singh).

Facile win

Sardar Patel Vidyalaya beat Mont Fort School by 88 runs in a league match of the Boost Cup under-17 inter-school cricket tournament here.

The scores: Sardar Patel Vidyalaya 225 for eight in 40 overs (Kartik Abhi 95, Shobhit Kaju 43, Aniruddh Singh four for 51, Bharat Arora three for 36) bt Mont Fort School 137 in 30.4 overs (Dewang Singh 43 not out, Dhruv Kumar 33, Ishan Aggarwal 30, Aditya Jain five for 29, Deepanshu Kumar three for 15).

Tihara to lead

Vartik Tihara will lead the Delhi Under-19 team for the Vinoo Mankad Trophy One-Day tournament.
