Carom meet concludes

KORAPUT: There is more expectation from the rural youth to excel in the field of sports and games now more than any other time, said MLA Taraprasdad Bahinipati while attending the prize distribution function of the 11th Elite Open Carom Championship here on Monday evening.

Highlighting the achievement of rural youth in the country, he said youth could do better in their lives once they got themselves engaged in some constructive activities like games and sports during their teen age.

P.K. Khadanga from EIS Club of Koraput won the singles title while Victor and Sumitraj’s team from JEL Church Club lifted doubles title, Siba Prasad Rath , president of EIS Club, also spoke.
