Moily coming today


Moily to review party affairs and functioning of the Government

TRCC leaders may bat for creation of separate PCC


HYDERABAD: Congress Working Committee member and in-charge of AP affairs, Veerappa Moily will begin a three-day visit to the State on Wednesday and spend considerable time reviewing party affairs and the functioning of the Government.

Amid growing demand for a separate PCC for Telangana, nomination of new PCC chief and other party affairs, a hectic schedule awaits Mr. Moily. He will attend an extended executive committee meeting of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC). Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy will also attend the meeting.

In the afternoon, Mr. Moily will attend the CLP meeting in the Assembly committee hall and later participate in a get together at Jubilee Hall.

On Thursday, he will accompany the Chief Minister on a tour of East and West Godavari districts.

He will participate in the inauguration of the Tadipudi lift irrigation scheme in West Godavari district and attend other locally arranged programmes before returning to the City in the night.

The concluding day of his visit will see him attending the APCC manifesto implementation committee and Coordination committee meetings.

He will also chair a review meeting on Administrative Reforms Commission in Secretariat before going back to New Delhi.

Mr. Moily will interact with party leaders at the Lake View Guest House on Wednesday evening.

Telangana Regional Congress Coordination Committee leaders plan to use the opportunity to impress upon him the need to convey for creation of a separate PCC for the region.
