Teachers’ plea on transfers

HYDERABAD: The AP State Teachers’ Union has urged the Government to release the list of transferred teachers under G.O. 610 only after giving exemption to spouses from posting in their native districts, as recommended by the House Committee. The teachers alleged that they were being victimised in the name of transfers by enforcing different rules for each DSC. They suggested that those teachers who volunteer to be transferred be given the first preference. Only local candidates should be posted in place of those identified as non-locals. –Special Correspondent
