Temple priest found dead

CUDDALORE: The partially-burnt body of Kailasanathar (35), a temple priest, was found on the banks of the Veeranam tank near Vazhakollai on Tuesday.

According to police, he was a priest at the Sundara Vinayagar Temple in Manali Pudur, Chennai. He had come to Cuddalore to attend ‘kumbabishekam’ of Sri Murugan Temple at Poovilanthanallur scheduled for Wednesday. The police said he was seen with his relatives till 6 p.m. on Monday.
