132 TASMAC shops shut down

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Marketing Federation (TASMAC) closed down 132 retail liquor dispensing shops near schools and places of worship on October 22 following representations from people, according to a press release. TASMAC has 6,700 shops across the State.

In addition, in the last six months, 82 shops were shut down following complaints.
