CHENNAI: A section of the cooperative bank employees, affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Bank Employees Association, will go on a one day strike on October 24 to urge the State Government for an early settlement of their demands.
Employees working in 23 district central cooperative banks, Tamil Nadu Cooperative State Agriculture and Rural Development Bank, and 180 primary cooperative agriculture and rural development banks will participate in the strike.
Employees in the other cooperative banks will organise demonstrations in support of the demands.
Association general secretary P.Balakrishnan said it was unfortunate that the State Government despite their repeated appeals, mass memoranda and personal representations failed to take action on their demands.
