THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Hyderabad scored a win over Tamil Nadu in the last over in the South Zone under-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy cricket tournament here on Tuesday. Tamil Nadu captain Abhinav Mukund struck a century (110) as it posted a competitive 255 for five in 45 overs. Neeraj Bishit (70) and Ashish Reddy (69) struck half-centuries as Hyderabad reached the target for the loss of six wickets with four balls to spare. Andhra crushed host Kerala by 81 runs to record its second win in the tournament. The host collapsed while chasing a modest 171 and was bundled out for 81 runs. At the LNCPE ground, Karnataka thrashed Goa by 163 runs to record its first win in the tournament. The scores: Andhra 170 in 30.4 overs (Prabhu Kiran 47, Nassef Mohamed four for 39) bt Kerala 89 in 37.5 overs (P.K. Ganesh three for 18). Tamil Nadu 255 for five in 45 overs (Abhinav Mukund 110, Einstein 99) lost to Hyderabad 257 for six in 44.2 overs (Neeraj Bishit 70, Ashish Reddy 69, Eshwar Prasad 45). Karnataka 244 in 45 overs (Nithin Bille 71, Suraj Sampath 57, Sunil N. Raju 40, Reegan Pinto four for 30) bt Goa 81 in 24 overs (Abrar Kazi three for eight).
