Rayan shines

HYDERABAD: A century by Rayan Kaundinya (108, 10x4) helped Cal Public School record a 114-run win over Wesley Junior College in the Boost Cup under-17 cricket tournament, organised by the Hyderabad Cricket Association, here on Tuesday.

The scores: Cal PS 283 for five (Rayan Kaundinya 108, Abhishek 65, Rohit Rajan 53 not out, Mahesh four for 46) bt Wesley JC 169 (Anurag 56); Little Flower JC 179 for four (K. Shiva Prasad 63, Kaushik Arigela 46, Prateek 31 not out) bt Don Bosco 67; St. Andrew’s 285 for five (Vinay Rao 124, Hanuman Vihari 114) bt Loyola 96 (Vihari three for six).

Krishna Rao shine

Good knocks by V.G. Srimanth (73) and Krishna Rao (86) helped The Hindu record a 121-run win over Ultratech Cements in the third JDA corporate Olympiad cricket tournament here.

Mini-junior tennis

Twin C Tennis Academy will organise a mini-junior tennis tournament at the Sanjeeviah Park (Necklace Road) from October 26 to 28 for boys’ and girls’ in the age group of eight to 12 in different categories. Entries close by October 25 and for details, call 9849558483.

Brace by Azeem

South Central Railway defeated SAI (Kurnool) 2-0 in the SAAP premier league prize money football tournament at the Gymkhana here.

Winger Azeem put SCR ahead in the 31st minute off a solo effort. In the second session, Azeem was in the scoring act again, finding the target off a cross from Santosh Paul.
