Government will intervene to hold price line, says Minister

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister for Food and Civil Supplies C.Divakaran said here on Tuesday that the government would intervene to check the prices of essential prices from spiralling in the wake of the lorry strike.

He was speaking after inaugurating a Neethi Medical Store at Kallara near here.

The Minister reiterated that the strike had not affected the availability or price of essential goods. He said the government could not take a lenient attitude to such a disruptive agitation.

J.Arundhati, MLA, presided over the function. District panchayat member G.Sivadasan and Kallara gram panchayat president Anampacha Suresh were present.
