Malas to form new party?

HYDERABAD: The Mala Mahanadu headed by Karem Sivaji will form a new political outfit, ‘Dalit Congress Party of India’, with the sole aim of assuming power to realise the rights of dalits by 2009. Mr. Sivaji said in a statement here on Wednesday that a meeting is scheduled to be held on November 25 at Kurnool when a large number of Dalits would attend. He said Malas plan to quit the Congress party and float the new outfit to protest the report of Usha Mehra Commission looking into the categorisation of SCs. –Special Correspondent
