MYSORE: Elephant Revathi, which was being taken to the Sunkadakatte camp, suffered bruises as the wooden plank of the truck caved in, unable to withstand the weight. A mahout and his attendant too suffered minor injuries. The plank caved in a few inches and Revathi’s hind leg got stuck, resulting in bruises. The elephant moved to the side and its weight partially came on mahout Bomma and his attendant, who were sitting. Both of them suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital. Veterinary doctor Nagaraj rushed from Mysore to administer first aid to Revathi. The elephant’s condition was stable, officials said. Another truck was arranged for the onward journey.
