There are 500 people staying in parks and other places as they cannot afford air tickets. The Indian mission hereis working to resolve the issue. Over 200 tickets have already been issued with the help of community organisations and individual donors. Recruitment agentsWith an increasing number of Indians being conned while seeking jobs in Gulf countries, the Indian government is taking action against unscrupulous recruitment agents. An amendment to the Indian Immigration Act governing the conduct of manpower agents is now waiting for clearance from the Union Cabinet, Mr. Ravi said.
