NEW DELHI: National Cadet Corps (NCC) Directorate of Punjab overwhelmed Maharana Pratap Inter College (Raipur) 17-0 in the 25th Nehru sub-junior hockey tournament at the Shivaji Stadium here on Wednesday. Palvinder Singh (4), Gaurav Singh Rana (3), Paramveer Singh (3), Gurwinder Singh (2), Gurjinder Singh (2), Harpreet Singh, Sukhbir Singh and Prem Singh were the marksmen for the Punjab team that led 9-0 at half-time. The NCC Directorate qualified for the super league along with two other teams from Punjab, Baba Gurmukh Singh Uttam Singh Senior Secondary School (Khadoor Sahib) and Mata Gujri Public School (Jalalabad, Ferozepur). Other results: Baba Gurmukh Singh Uttam Singh Senior Secondary School (Khadoor Sahib) 4 (Gagandeep Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Lovepreet Singh, Gurpreet Singh) bt Government Boys Senior Secondary School (Jashpur Nagar) 1 (Ranjit Tirkey). Mata Gujri Public School (Jalalabad) 4 (Pawandeep Singh 2, Parvinder Singh 2) bt CRZ Senior Secondary School (Sonepat) 1 (Sachin).
