THE CHAMPIONS: Members of the Tamil Nadu team who excelled in the junior and sub-junior National squash championship in Ajmer. CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu had a fine outing in the inter-State phase of the junior and sub-junior National squash championship which concluded in Ajmer on Wednesday. Tamil Nadu won the under-19 title in both the boys’ and girl’s sections and also the under-15 girls’ title. Maharashtra won the under-15 boys’ title. In the individual events, Tamil Nadu players shared the honours with Maharashtra. For Tamil Nadu, the victors were Harinder Pal Singh (boys’ under-19), Harita Omprakash (girls’ under-17), Anaka Alankamony (girls’ under-15) and Dipika Pallikal (girls’ under-19). The results: Open events (finals only): U-19: Boys: Harinder Pal Singh (TN) bt Parth Sharma (TN) 9-7, 3-9, 7-9, 9-5, 9-7; Girls: Dipika Pallikal (TN) bt V. Anwesha Reddy (TN) 9-7, 10-8, 9-6; U-17: Harita Omprakash (TN) bt Dheeya Somaiya (MP) 4-9, 9-3, 7-9, 9-4, 9-0; U-15: Anaka Alankanony (TN) bt Saumya Karki (Mah) 9-0, 9-4, 9-6. Team events: Final: U-19: Boys: Tamil Nadu bt Delhi 2-0 (Karan Malik bt Harshit Jain 9-1, 9-4, 9-2; Harinder Pal Singh bt Gunraj Singh 9-4, 9-3, 9-0); Girls: Tamil Nadu bt Delhi 3-0 (V.
