JAYAMKONDAM: A large number of devotees offered worship to Sri Brahadeeswarar at Gangaikondacholapuram on Thursday on the occasion of ‘maha annabhishekam.’

About 100 bags of rice was cooked in a massive kitchen for the ritual. Special ‘pujas’ were performed in the evening to Sri Brahadeeswarar and Sri Brahanayaki.
