Hindustan Motors reports profit

KOLKATA: Hindustan Motors has ended the second quarter of 2007-08 with a net profit of Rs. 28 lakh against a net loss of Rs. 5.38 crore in the quarter ended September 2006. Income from operations increased to Rs. 189.10 crore from Rs. 162.50 crore. Company sources said that a 22 per cent increase in output helped achieve these results during a quarter. — Special Correspondent
