Shergill scores four goals

NEW DELHI: Four goals by Jai Shergill powered Remount Veterinary Corps (RVC) to an 8-4 victory over Artillery in the quarterfinals of the Maharaja Prithi Singh Cup polo tournament at the Army Equestrian Centre, Delhi Cantonment, on Thursday.

S.S. Kashyap (2), Rambir Singh and Robert Watson scored the other goals for the winner. Paul Kay scored two goals for Artillery which started with a two-goal handicap advantage.

In another quarterfinal, Cavalry/Aspen Crew beat Sahgal Stud 5-4. Tarun Sirohi (3) and Ravi Rathore (2) scored for the winner. Dhruvpal Godara scored all the four goals for the losing side.
