Earthquake hits Sumatra

BEIJING: An earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale jolted seas south west of Sumatra, Indonesia, at 5:02 a.m. Beijing time on Thursday, according to China’s earthquake monitoring network.

No casualties or tsunami pre-warnings have been reported.— Xinhua
