Bhubaneswar: An inter-school quiz by Tata Consultancy Services on the Internet and unique websites, would be held here on November 4. The quiz would also be on the Internet buzzwords and acronyms, advertisements, software products, companies, brands, and the history of the Internet. The quiz is open to school students between standard eight and 12. There would no entry fee. “Besides, the areas where information technology has made an impact such as education, entertainment, books, multi-media internet, banking, advertising and sports will also be covered in the quiz,” said Manoj Panda, head of TCS, Bhubaneswar. Only the first 300 registered teams will be allowed to participate, he said. Panda said each institution was allowed to send multiple teams (two members per team) to the quiz. Entries have to be sent through respective institutions on or before November 1 to Pramod Kumar Jha, Rajat, TCS IT Wiz Coordinators, Fortune Tower, 4th floor, Bhubaneswar. The 2007 TCS IT Wiz winners will walk away with laptops and the runners up with ipods. The six finalists would get gifts from TCS and watches from Titan. -PTI
