A large number of prizes are on offer; every participant will get a certificate Bangalore: Ever popular, The Hindu Young World Quiz is back to nurture and nourish talented young minds. This multi-city quiz, the best known and most eagerly awaited event for school children all over the country, will be held in Bangalore, Mangalore, Puducherry, Chennai, Kozhikode, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Madurai, Tiruchirapalli, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. The All India Final will be held at Visakhapatnam on November 21. The quiz is sponsored by Amity University. Preliminary roundThere will be a written preliminary round at each centre followed by another to select six teams for the regional finals. Both the rounds will be held on the same day. The winning team from each region will be eligible to participate in the All India Final. A large number of prizes will be awarded at every stage and all participants will be given certificates. The Hindu will meet the cost of travel, board and lodging of each finalist as well as for one accompanying parent or teacher from outside Visakhapatnam. The Bangalore round of the quiz will be held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan, Miller’s Road, Vasanthanagar, on October 31. The quiz will start at 2 p.m. and teams have to report latest by 1.15 p.m. Any two students between Classes 6 and 9 can form a team. Schools can send a maximum of three teams each.
