Regional CBSE youth festival from today

KOCHI: The 13th Kochi regional youth festival organised by the Kerala CBSE School Management Association will be held at Al-Ameen Public School, Edappally, on Friday and Saturday. R. Vasudevan Pillai, association’s patron, will hoist the festival flag.

K.S. Radhakrishnan, Vice-Chancellor of Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, and Prithviraj, actor, will attend the inaugural function. Sathi Nair, Vice-Chairman of Central Administrative Tribunal, Ernakulam, will distribute prizes. Nearly 1,800 students from schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education will participate in the cultural and literary events in 144 categories in 15 stages. Candidates in the first three positions in each of the events will be eligible to participate in the CBSE State youth festival at Pala in November.
