Thieves took away property worth Rs. 1.6 lakh after breaking into a tailor’s house near Dabeerpura ‘nala’ on Wednesday night.
Mr. Sharfuddin told police that thieves stole gold ornaments and silver articles weighing 170 grams and 700 grams and Rs. 4,000 when he and his family were away to attend a marriage.
Ornaments stolen
Thieves took away gold ornaments weighing 360 grams after breaking into a house at Udyog colony under Punjagutta police station area during daytime on Thursday.
Engineer robbed
Four persons robbed Kailash, 30, an Assistant Engineer of Central Power Distribution Company Limited, of his gold chain and mobile phone on Wednesday night at L.B. Nagar.
The engineer was coming from Champapet to L.B. Nagar on his bike when he stopped near Gayathrinagar crossroads to answer a phone call.

A businessman Yousuf Ali, 34, who was stabbed by unidentified persons on the night of October 21 at Misrigunj in Old City, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Osmania General Hospital on Thursday.
