Speeding Blueline bus kills cyclist, hurts another

NEW DELHI: A speeding Blueline bus killed a cyclist and injured another at Rohini here on Thursday.
The accident took place around 9-30 p.m. at Avantika Chowk when the bus plying between Sukhbir Nagar and Kashmere Gate knocked down the two cyclists. While one of them died on the spot, the other sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The identity of the victims could not be established till late at night.
Angry passengers and passers-by set the bus on fire and smashed the windowpanes of a DTC bus.
In another accident, 12-year-old pillion rider Arun sustained minor injuries when a DTC bus hit a motorcycle from behind at Gokalpuri in the evening.
Anil Kumar (25), who was driving the motorcycle, escaped unhurt. The bus has been impounded and driver Rajkumar arrested, the police said.
