NEW DELHI: There is a need for modernisation along with heritage conservation, both natural and man-made, in city planning and macro-planning needs to be supplemented and integrated with grassroots level planning, said Delhi’s Lieutenant-Governor Tejendra Khanna on Thursday. He was addressing the first meeting of the newly-formed Delhi Vision Group at Raj Niwas.
The gathering, which included Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Planning Commission member Anwarul Hooda and Delhi Urban Arts Commission chairman Charles Correa, was told by the Lieutenant-Governor, who heads the Delhi Vision Group, that it would reflect on Delhi’s evolution and also on the ways by which transition from the present condition to its future vision could be achieved.
