NEW DELHI: Delhi’s Police Commissioner Y. S. Dadwal has ordered constitution of a special checking unit under the Vigilance Branch headed by a Special Commissioner of Police to address complaints of corruption in the traffic police. In the new unit, an officer of the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police will be deputed for a month by rotation to work as Public Grievance Officer (Traffic). The unit will become functional on November 1. Complaints relating to corruption or inaction by any traffic police personnel or officer can be forwarded to the Vigilance Control Room on 23213355; to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Vigilance) on 23210011 (office) and 23387252 (residence); and to Additional Commissioner of Police (Vigilance) on 23235474 (office) and 28532200 (residence).
