Prema Karanth critical

BANGALORE: Prema Karanth (71), eminent filmmaker and theatre person, has been admitted to a hospital here after she suffered a heart attack on Wednesday.

Ms. Karanth is the wife of theatre person B.V. Karanth.

She was active in children’s theatre.

She has directed six films including “Phaniyamma,” a landmark movie about a child widow.
