Puducherry ready to tackle emergencies

PUDUCHERRY: With tanks and reservoirs receiving heavy inflow owing to the monsoon, the government has geared up its machinery to meet any emergencies. The Union Territory recorded 234 mm of rainfall during the last 26 days, according to officials in the Public Works Department. In the last four days, it recorded 129 mm of rain, they added.
