Flood alert

KARUR: An alert has been sounded for people living on the banks of the Amaravathy in Karur district as over 15,000 cusecs was released from the Amaravathy Dam, where the water level crossed the 88-feet mark. Collector T.N. Venkatesh has urged the people living in low-lying areas along the course of the river to exercise caution.
