Girl murdered

PUDUKOTTAI: A 10-year old girl was murdered at her house in Perungalur near Adhanakottai in the district on Thursday. Police said a group of unidentified persons attacked the girl, U. Tharangini, with deadly weapons. The miscreants then fled the scene. The incident happened after the girl returned from school, police said. The girl’s parents, both employees of a private clinic, were away.

Superintendent of Police Kapil Kumar C. Saratkar inspected the scene of crime. The Adhnakottai police have registered a case and are investigating.
