SUSPECTS AND SECURITY: (Top): Sketches of suspected terrorists released by the Mumbai police on Friday. They are suspected to be doing “reconnaissance” around religious places and five star hotels in the city. MUMBAI: The Mumbai police on Friday put the city on high alert, and released the sketches of three persons suspected to be doing “reconnaissance” around religious places. A taxi driver tipped off the police about the “suspicious behaviour” of three men and a burka-clad woman, who hired him to take them around places of worship and five star hotels.
Security men keep a watch at the Siddhivinayak temple in the metropolis on Friday. —
Joint Commissioner (Law and Order) K.L. Prasad said they asked the driver to wait, keeping two of their bags, near the Siddhi Vinayak temple. However, he refused to be left alone with the bags. The foursome is said to have checked out the Mahim dargah and Haji Ali, apart from the temple, where security has been tightened.
