Rain in Pudukottai, Karur

PUDUKOTTAI: Various parts of Pudukottai experienced moderate showers for the third consecutive day on Friday.

For the 24 hours ended at 8 a.m. on Friday, Manamelkudi registered a maximum of 41.2 mm of rain, followed by Karambakudi 21 mm; Nakudi 16.6 mm; Kattumavadi 15 mm; Avudaiyarkovil 11.8 mm; Pudukottai, Viralimalai, Gandarakottai and Ayinkudi 10 mm each.

In Perambalur district, Sendurai registered a maximum of 17 mm of rain, followed by Jayamkondam 14 mm; Perambalur 13 mm; Padalur 11mm; and Ariyalur 10 mm.

Widespread rain was reported from several parts of Karur district on Friday The average rainfall recorded: Panchapatti 19.8, Kadavur 18, Aravakurichi 13, Palaviduthi 9.10, Mylampatti 8, Krishnarayapuram 3, Mayanur 2.40, Anaipalayam 2.20, Kulithalai and Thogamalai 2 each, K. Paramathi 1.40 mm.
