Online telecast of funerals soon

J. Malarvizhi

CHENNAI: The Madras Cemeteries Board, managing the Christian cemeteries in the city, including Kilpauk, Kasimode and Quibble Island cemeteries, recently launched its website and is planning to offer online telecast of funerals to its patrons.

Friends of a dead person living abroad would be able to view the last rites on deferred telecast.

The funeral would be recorded and made available online within an hour.

Those who would like to telecast the funeral online would have to make a payment to the Board, following which they would be given a unique code to enter the website.

They can pass on the code to those who would like to view the funeral online, said treasurer of the Board S. Bosco Alangar Raj.

The Board is online at www.madrascemeteries.com
