CHENNAI: A two-day national management symposium on ‘Human Resources in a Transformational Era’ concluded here on Friday.
N. Murali, Managing Director of The Hindu, delivering the valedictory address, said HR professionals need to be equipped with multi-skills to scale up to a strategic position in an organisation.
“In India, HR has not yet moved up and attained the place that it ought to have and we have a long way to go,” Mr. Murali said at the symposium organised by the Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA).
Interactive session
Later, in an interactive session with participants of the symposium, Mr. Murali underscored the importance of training and acquiring skills to match the changing management scenario.
