VIJAYAWADA: City’s SRR & CVR College, Sathavahana College, Gudivada’s ANR College and Bapatla Arts and Science College (Bapatla) entered the league in the Acharya Nagarjuna University inter-collegiate kabaddi tournament for men organised at P. B. Siddhartha Arts and Science College grounds here on Friday.

Siddhartha College (Vij) 41-16, Sathavahana College (Vij) bt VRS & YRN College (Chirala) 26-24, BAS College (Bap) bt ANR College (Nagarjunanagar) 44-31, RC College (Repalle) bt AVR Degree College (Repalle) 39-31, ANR College (Gudivada) bt DAR College (Nuzvid) 37-31, BAS College (Bap) bt PBN College (Nidubrolu) 50-4, Sathavahana College (Vij) bt VPJM College (Mangalagiri) 52-14.

Krishna in final

Krishna and Prakasam entered the final of the Tata Indicom- Eenadu cricket tournament defeating Nellore and Guntur respectively in the semifinals at IGMC stadium here on Friday.

The scores: Nellore 145 for four in 20 overs lost to Krishna 151 for five in 18.4 overs; Prakasam 95 in 20 overs bt Guntur 93 in 19.3 overs.

Pat for Rishita

NTR University Health Sciences vice chancellor A.V. Krishnam Raju felicitated international archer and MNR Medical College student Mandava Rishita for her encouraging show at the all India inter-university archery championship held at Punjab University (Chandigarh) from October 13 to 17.

She won four gold medals (70m, 60m, 40m and Olympic round individual) and one silver medal (30m) in compound category.
