Semifinalists spotted

CHENNAI: Madras Blues takes on ABM Infotech while Southern Railway ‘B’ meets Wesley HC in the semifinals of the Chennai Hockey Association first division league at the SDAT-Mayor Radhakrishnan here on October 27. The final is scheduled for Oct. 28.

Good knock by Harsha

Harsha Vardhan (62 not out) starred in Daryl CC’s 93-run win over AVM CCF ‘B’ in the AVM Rajeswari under-12 cricket tournament recently.

Mohan’s XI 95 in 18.3 overs (Venkat Sujith three for 18) bt EDR’s XI 48 in 14.3 overs.

Kennedy downs Mazar

Kennedy (TNBSA) defeated Mazar (Sea Farers Club) 65-21, 56-9, 50-62, 68-22 in a senior snooker match of the Abirami Mega Mall-Tamil Nadu State-ranking tournament being held here.

TNCA matches postponed

All TNCA league matches scheduled for Saturday, October 27, stand postponed because of inclement weather and poor ground conditions.

City-Districts cricket

The ‘City vs. Combined Districts’ cricket match for the C.P. Ramaswamy Iyer Shield will be played at the RKM Vivekananda ground from October 27 to 29. Play will commence at 9.30 a.m. on the first two days and at 9.15 a.m. on the final day.
