KOCHI: The district unit of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau registered a case against the former directors of the Department of Agriculture at Nedumbassery P.E. Francis and Shirley A.V. (assistant director, Department of Agriculture, Pazhayannur); former convener of Kanakkankadavu lift irrigation project P.A. Joseph; and former convener of Cherukadappuram lift irrigation project T.T. Devassikutty.

The case has been registered following detection of financial irregularities to the tune of Rs. 12 lakh in the administration of the Kanakkankadavu and Cherukadappuram lift irrigation projectsbetween December 1996 and July 2004.
