Food samples collected

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Officials of the city Corporation on Friday collected samples of the food consumed by those living in a private hostel at Statue following which they were admitted to General Hospital with symptoms of food poisoning. P. Ajayakumar, health inspector, and D. Jayachandran, food inspector, inspected the hostel and collected the samples. Directions were issued to the hostel authorities to maintain the kitchen and store room clean, a release issued by the Corporation said.
