Proclaimed bad character arrested

NEW DELHI: A 26-year-old proclaimed bad character of the Preet Vihar police station has been arrested at Anand Vihar for alleged involvement in several cases of auto-theft and chain-snatching. Acting on a tip-off, a police team conducting a routine vehicle check on Road No.56 on October 23 signalled two young men on a motorcycle to stop. The pillion rider allegedly pushed a police constable and the two tried to escape. However, rider Amit Kapoor was overpowered and later arrested.
