Hawkers’ meet

Belgaum: In recognition of the role of agents and hawkers in the newspaper industry, The Hindu had organised a “hawkers’ meet” in Belgaum on Saturday. The event was to improve employer-employee relationships on a sustainable and progressive basis. Deputy Regional Manager G.R. Venkatesh addressed over 200 hawkers from all parts of the city. He expressed his appreciation and thanked them for their continued cooperation and support even in times of crises. He had an open interaction with the hawkers and also discussed their problems. The hawkers shared their views and assured support to the paper.
