Bidar Chamber demands berth in railway panel

Staff Correspondent

BIDAR: Members of Bidar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) have demanded representation in the divisional-level Railway Users’ Consultative Committee for addressing matters concerning railway.

A release here on Friday, issued by B.G. Shetkar, president of BCCI, said that the Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry had felt the need for a representation in the chamber.

The FKCCI had also expressed concern that lack of representation to BCCI in the committee would mean that the region would lag in development activities. The release requested Harekrishna Padhee, general manager, South Central Railway, Secunderabad, to expedite the railway work between Gulbarga and Bidar, which was moving at a snail’s pace. They requested the general manager to change the timings of trains running through Bidar station to Hyderabad.
