Youth held for murder

PUDUKOTTAI: A 22-year old youth was arrested on Saturday for allegedly murdering a girl at her residence at Adhnakottai, near here, on Thursday. Superintendent of Police Kapil Kumar C. Saratkar said a special police team, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Veerasamy, was constituted for conducting the investigation

R. Dharmaraj, who had allegedly robbed the girl of her gold jewellery, later attacked her with a deadly weapon.

Mr. Saratkar gave a special cash purse to the special team in appreciation of its meticulous investigation.
