Bangalore: The State unit of the Congress has said the “reunion” of the Janata Dal (Secular) and the Bharatiya Janata Party only shows the “hunger for power” of both the parties. KPCC president M. Mallikarjun Kharge told The Hindu here that a high-level delegation of the Congress would call on Governor Rameshwar Thakur and express opposition to the move of the BJP and Janata Dal (S) to form a Government. “The two parties had parted ways, and the BJP had even given it in writing to the Governor that it had not merely withdrawn support to then H.D. Kumaraswamy Government, but also sought immediate dissolution of the Legislative Assembly.”
