Special project officers for eight districts

BHUBANESWAR: The State Government on Saturday decided to appoint special project officers in eight districts to ensure proper implementation of the rehabilitation and resettlement policy. The officers will be appointed in the districts witnessing large-scale industrial and mining activity and irrigation projects, a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Ajit Kumar Tripathy decided.

The meeting, however, could not decided grade of officials to be appointed in those new posts. A decision in this regard is expected to be taken shortly.
