Advisers to Governor
Bangalore: The Union Government has appointed three advisers to Governor Rameshwar Thakur to help him administer the State during the President’s Rule.
According to the secretary to the Governor, Sharada Subramanyam, the advisers are the former Commerce Secretary P.P. Prabhu, the former Union Overseas Affairs Secretary S. Krishna Kumar and the former chief of the Research and Analysis Wing P.K. Hormese Tharakan.
The first meeting of the Executive Committee headed by the Governor will be held at the Raj Bhavan at 11.30 a.m. on Sunday. It will be attended by the advisers, Chief Secretary Prahlad B. Mahishi and senior government officials. The Executive Committee will act as the Cabinet in the absence of an elected government. — Special Correspondent
