Five nuns of a convent attacked in Indore
Indore: Five nuns of a convent here were allegedly attacked by some unidentified persons, police said on Saturday.
“Five nuns of the Shantidham Convent went to the residence of their driver Anil for prayers in the Bhagirathpura area on Thursday. On their way back, some people allegedly beat them,” Indore Diocese Public Relations Officer Father Joseph Vallasheri told PTI. He alleged that the vehicle in which the nuns were travelling was also damaged and the situation was brought under control only after police reached the spot.
However, some people belonging to a religious organisation had alleged that the nuns indulged in religious conversion, he mentioned.
SP G.P. Parashar confirmed that a case had been registered. He said the matter was under investigation. - PTI
